  First State Bank of North Dakota - Arthur P.O. Box 98
The First State Bank of Arthur was organized and issued a charter to begin business as a community bank in 1905. The organizers and the first elected directors were W. H. Simmons, Louis Bettschen, Fred Williams, J. H. Gale, and W. C. Gamble was the first Cashier. Upon the death of Fred Williams, J. E. Sommerfeld was elected President of the bank in 1932, and served that position for the next 29 years. B. A. Helland served as Cashier and Executive Officer until his death in 1955 when Gale E. Hill was elected Cashier and Executive Officer to replace him. Lloyd Williams was elected President in 1962, with James L. Williams replacing him as President in 1975. In 1988 Kim O. Larson was appointed Executive Vice President & CEO and in 1990 to the Board of Directors. In 1999 Larson was promoted to President and CEO, the position he currently holds. On August 17th , 2009 Brent Montgomery was hired and named President of the Arthur location. In 1992 the bank's name was changed to First State Bank of North Dakota. The First State Bank of Buffalo was purchased and merged with First State Bank of North Dakota in 1992. The deposits of First National Bank of North Dakota's office in Casselton were purchased in 1999. This location moved into a new building in December 2000. The First State Bank of LaMoure was purchased by First Financial Corporation (Holding Company) in May 2002 and merged with First State Bank of North Dakota on January 1, 2005. The First State Bank of LaMoure group consisted of banks in Marion, Dickey, Oakes and LaMoure. Shortly after the purchase, the branch in Dickey was closed. First State Bank of North Dakota currently consists of 6 banking locations; Arthur, Buffalo, Casselton, LaMoure, Marion and Oakes.  First State Bank of North Dakota - Buffalo P.O. Box 125
First State Bank of North Dakota - Buffalo was originally organized in September 1985. After a number of ownership and name changes, the bank was purchased by The First State Bank of Arthur in 1992 and the two banks were merged into First State Bank of North Dakota.
Randy Mundt is the current President of the Buffalo location. Randy was hired by First State Bank of North Dakota on May 21, 2000.

The bank is currently located at 41 Langer Ave South in Casselton. This facility was built by First State Bank of North Dakota in 2000.
Bernie Sinner is the current President of the Casselton Location. Bernie was hired by First State Bank of North Dakota on September 27, 1999.

They purchased the State Bank of Marion in 1996 and expanded into Oakes in June 1997 with a de novo branch. First State Bank of LaMoure was purchased in May 2002 and merged with First State Bank of North Dakota on January 1, 2005.
Derek Jungels is the current President of the LaMoure location. Derek was hired by First State Bank of North Dakota on June 1st, 2005.
 First State Bank of North Dakota - Marion
P.O. Box 69 First State Bank of North Dakota - Marion started out as a nationally chartered bank in 1928. The Marion banking location was purchased as part of the LaMoure group in 2002.
Richard Anderson is currently the President of the Marion Location. Richard was hired by First State Bank of North Dakota on January 1st, 2005.
